❖ Purchase of individual lessons: Full payment required upfront in order to confirm lessons.
❖ Purchase of lesson packages: Full payments for classes can be made before classes takes place OR 50% deposit per Invoice payable to confirm classes.
❖ Outstanding amount: Payable by the last day of the month. Invoice to be adjusted by the actual amount of classes that was completed during the month.
❖ Should classes be rescheduled or cancelled, 24 hour notice is compulsory, otherwise classes will be forfeited and payment thereof still required.
❖ No payments of classes made to Tutors. EFTs only to Mastering It’s bank account. Cash payments also made directly to Mastering It. Invoice will be sent per month in advance for lesson packages and/or indicated amount of lessons purchased.
Refund policy:
❖ We in general have a non-refund policy in place, especially for lesson packages paid for in advance.
❖ In order to accommodate our clients, remaining lessons of the current year can be transferred to the following year.
❖ In cases where we cannot provide a tutor from our side, refunds will be made should we not be able to accommodate you in any other means.
Our Tutoring rates in 2024 will be as follows:● One-on-one classes:
❖ Standard fee Gr.1-12 students*: R245 per hour
(R275 per hour for Tertiary students)
At the student’s house: An additional travel fee of R55 charged per trip (within radius of 7km)
● Groups of 2 students:
❖ Standard fee Gr.1-12 students*: R190 per student per hour
(R215 per hour per student for Tertiary students)
At the student’s house: An additional travel fee of R55 charged per trip (within radius of 7km)
● Groups of 3 students or more:
❖ Standard fee Gr.1-12 students*: R165 per student per hour
(R175 per hour per student for Tertiary students)
At the student’s house: An additional travel fee of R55 charged per trip (within radius of 7km)
*Online or at Tutor’s house
— further distance travelled: R4.50 per km will be charged to account
We will have discounts applicable on the following terms (only applicable on advance purchases):
● 5% discount: Purchasing and Paying for 10 classes
● 10% discount: Purchasing and Paying for 15 classes
● Classes will be valid for 6 months from the date of payment.

MASTERING IT OBLIGATIONS:1. Provide clients with a Quality Tutor, as are available. Most of our Tutors are available on a part-time basis and might have changes in their schedules, which are not in the control of Mastering It. Therefore, Mastering It reserves the right to change Tutors as needed, with enough notice given to Clients where possible.
2. Should a Tutor and Student not get along during lessons, Clients can request another Tutor as needed.
3. We at Mastering It take no responsibility for the performances of the students. We ensure quality Tutors but the efforts to do well, mainly falls on the student him-/herself.
4. Make use of the Clients’ contact and personal details as needed, while adhering to the POPI act as well. Therefore, no client information is to be given out without consent of the Client.
CLIENT OBLIGATIONS:1. Discuss with Tutor before classes, what he/she can prepare on for classes
2. Provide Tutors with relevant academic material as needed. No material is provided by Mastering It for students to work through. However, we can assist in the provision of past papers where needed and relevant.
3. Discuss suitable days and times for classes with Tutor, that will suit all involved parties.
4. No confidential information of the Business is to be disclosed without prior written consent.
5. Please notify Mastering It in advance should services be cancelled for future purposes.
